Kathleen is a dedicated physical therapy assistant who enhances the patient experience at Primus PT. She earned her Associate in Applied Science for Physical Therapy from Northern Virginia Community College in 2011 and has worked in a range of settings, including skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities, outpatient orthopedic clinics, and active adult communities.
Kathleen’s approach to physical therapy emphasizes combining massage techniques with therapeutic exercises to maximize range of motion, alleviate pain, and promote strength. Her specialties include post-surgical rehabilitation, Pilates-based core strengthening, and managing neurologic conditions like Parkinson’s disease. Kathleen is a skilled, licensed massage therapist who joined the Primus PT team with nearly 20 years of hands-on experience. A graduate of the Northern Virginia School of Massage Therapy, she has seamlessly integrated her massage expertise into physical therapy and wellness settings since 2005.
Kathleen provides highly customized massages tailored to each client’s specific needs, utilizing techniques such as myofascial release, Swedish, therapeutic, deep tissue, sports, and trigger point therapy. Her focus is on helping clients reduce muscle tension, improve flexibility, and enhance overall well-being. Kathleen’s approach ensures each session is uniquely designed to help clients achieve pain relief and relaxation.
